WHAT IS FACELIFT
MASSAGE?
Facelift massage is a gentle and nourishing self care practice that promotes a more radiant, relaxed and naturally lifted face. WHO IT’S FOR
Facelift massage is for anyone who would like to naturally enhance their facial beauty, enjoy more glowing skin and age with radiance. The techniques and relaxation methods taught in a facelift massage class are gentle and nurturing, with the intention being to provide nourishment to the skin, body and mind. Regular practice supports the facial muscles to relax, leading to improved circulation and boosting the production of collagen and elastin (the skins plumping agents).
THE BENEFITS
-
Cultivating facial awareness is one of the most powerful steps we can take towards ageing radiantly.
Many of us go about our days completely unaware of the tension being held in our face, because it’s become ‘normal’ to feel this way. Awareness is the first step towards being able to consciously release this stored tension.
When leading clients through a Facelift Massage Class for the first time, they are often pleasantly surprised at how relaxed and open their face can feel, when nurtured with gentle touch and relaxation techniques.
-
When we hold tension in the facial muscles, they may contract and loose their strength and tone.
Stored tension in the face and neck also impacts on circulation, which means the muscles and skin will not receive optimal nourishment.
When the muscles of the face are not strong and well nourished, the skin attached to them may become droopy, wrinkled and dull. This is due to the compromised muscle tone and lack of nutrients being delivered to the skin.
-
Healthy circulation to the face is needed to deliver fresh oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells and muscles.
When the cells and muscles are receiving optimal nutrients, the skin appears more healthy and radiant.
-
Supporting lymph flow with Face Massage helps to reduce poor skin tone, puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. The result is a healthier and more youthful appearance.
-
The techniques covered in a Facelift Massage Class are designed to naturally increase the production of collagen and elastin, the skins plumping agents. As a result, the complexion may appear firmer and healthier in appearance.
